MALIN started with the most boring, most important piece: a plain long-sleeve training tee, built to last a British winter instead of being replaced every season. The market sold two things. Cheap polyester that pilled by February, or premium kit priced like it was rare. Neither earned it. So three constructions went into testing before a single unit went on sale. This is that test.

Three constructions, one 140gsm polyester base, six testers across road, trail, strength and gym. Each wears all three in rotation, three sessions minimum before the first wash. Wash cold, tumble low, repeat to three cycles. Hand feel, breathability, print adhesion, pilling and fit retention are scored after each block. Four-week window, 1 to 29 June. No tester knows which is which.

Logged before any scores. UNIT C (mesh-back) should win on breathability, watched for seam pilling. UNIT A (set-in sleeve) should be the most durable and the most ordinary. UNIT B (raglan, drop hem) is the wildcard: more movement on paper, unproven in the wash. Print adhesion is the failure mode that matters. Cracks by wash three and the blank is out.
